Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen Gold Edition
Gold color wrapped around the vehicle body
Mansory is a luxury car tuning company located in Bavaria, Germany. It has gained a worldwide reputation for providing high-level tuning for various vehicles, from ultra-luxury vehicles such as Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, and Ferrari to sports cars.
It is being evaluated as a bold attempt without limits in that it creates luxury cars with a perfect appearance in a more advanced form. Mansory recently tuned and unveiled the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen but was embroiled in strong controversy.
The starting price in South Korea is around KRW 243 million
Apply the gold edition here
The high-performance AMG G63 that Mansori tuned was an expensive vehicle with a starting price of KRW 243 million (USD 180,000) in South Korea. The Gold Edition was introduced, with most of the cars painted gold. It is unknown whether it was painted gold, but the tuned G-Wagen is said to be sold in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The existing G-Wagen’s angular yet strong appearance was given a luxurious look by applying gold. The huge 24-inch FD.15 forged wheels on the side wheels shine in gold. The color is also applied to the air duct and grille, side mirrors, and wipers, making it difficult to find a place that is not gold-colored.
Various modified versions were unveiled together
Choose according to consumer tastes
The black color can only be seen on the band line and tires along the window line. However, perhaps conscious of the consumer response that it was too burdensome, Mansory also unveiled various modified versions. Wheels finished in multiple colors other than gold can be selected according to consumer preference.
The gold color was applied to the bonnet in the version unveiled by Mansory. Still, when consumers purchase it, the carbon fiber can be exposed to emphasize the sporty look. Additionally, the bonnet is equipped with various air intakes to cool the engine, fully revealing the sensibility of high performance.
Improve performance through engine tuning
Maximum output of 809 horsepower
The AMG G63’s 4.0-liter bi-turbo engine was also tuned. The existing G63’s maximum output was 577 horsepower, but performance was increased to 809 horsepower through tuning. As a result, it takes only 3.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill, and the maximum speed reaches 250 km/h (155 mph).
The wheelbase was extended, and the body length was increased by about 20 cm (7.9 inches) between the C-pillar and D-pillar to expand the trunk space. Carbon fiber and gold colors are applied for the interior, and various leather materials can be selected depending on consumer taste.
