Many new vehicles were unveiled at the 2024 Busan Mobility Show, but many anticipated vehicles are still hidden. In the case of the Hyundai Palisade, considered one of the two most oversized family vehicles along with the Kia Carnival, expectations are further heightened as the launch schedule has advanced from early 2025 to the end of 2024.

So far, prototype vehicles performing driving tests have been spotted on the road several times, and many renderings have been made based on them. Although it is still tightly wrapped in camouflage, most design elements have been inferred. In the meantime, a virtually final-level rendering has been released, drawing the attention of prospective owners.

Differences from previous renderings
Maximized detail improvements

New York Mammoth, a YouTuber specializing in new vehicle renderings, released the latest rendering of the Palisade full-change model on June 28, 2024. This time, it is explained that accuracy has been improved by applying new changes compared to the existing renderings, such as headlamp box details, radiator grill garnish finishing, and a unique layout connected to the tail lamp and bumper. First, looking at the front part may seem clunky, but the corresponding volume and thick vertical-type daytime running lights (DRL) give off a sense of sophistication and intimidation.

In the case of the radiator grill garnish, repeated horizontal lines were emphasized to add balance. The headlamp features two horizontal rows, top and bottom, and each row has 5 MLAs to achieve both light quantity and high-tech image. Initially, interest was focused on whether seamless horizon lamps could be applied. However, because no light was captured through the camouflage gap and a thick DRL was applied to the headlamp box, the possibility of using the seamless horizon lamp can be considered slim.

Plagiarism of Range Rover?
The decisive differentiation factor is

Many responded that the long, vertical tail lamps and the tailgate and D-pillar design were reminiscent of Land Rover Range Rover. However, the shape of the tail lamp is differentiated by its ㄷ shaped design that digs into the top and bottom of the rear quarter panel. The outside of the tail lamp can serve as a taillight and brake light, and the inside can serve as a turn signal light. The turn signal lights are finished in black and only reveal themselves when turned on, a previously applied method to the Range Rover.

The design element where the bumper garnish naturally blends in from the end below the tail lamp is also unique. This is also connected to the chrome wrap-around garnish surrounding the entire lower part of the vehicle, creating a challenging image. The chrome garnish that wraps around the top of the DLO line covers the entire D pillar and adds to the luxurious feel of the floating roof design. Reflectors designed in pixel cubes are placed on both sides of the bottom of the bumper, with reversing lights and parking auxiliary lights placed below them.

Equipped with 2.5T Hybrid

Meanwhile, Hyundai accelerated the launch of the new Palisade to dominate the market by adding hybrid specifications. The new Palisade is equipped with a new hybrid system based on a 2.5L gasoline turbo engine in the Hyundai Motor Group for the first time. It is expected to have a generous system output in the 300 horsepower range and combined fuel efficiency of more than 15 km/L (35.3 mpg), raising considerable expectations. In particular, in the case of fuel efficiency, it appears that it will be possible to obtain eco-friendly car certification, which was not possible with the Carnival Hybrid.
