Polestar 2025 Polestar 2 unveiled
Improved product quality by adding a new package
What are the differences and changes from the existing model?
The preference for mid-size sedans has fallen significantly compared to the past, but the meaning changes if the model is a premium electric vehicle. In particular, Polestar 2 was launched in 2020 and occupied an unrivaled position. But now, competition has become more intense as various brands, including Tesla, launch electric vehicles.
Polestar unveiled the new 2025 Polestar 2, upgrading various features such as performance and options to the next level. Let’s learn how much it differs from the previous model and how the price and schedule will differ.
The bland design unique to electric vehicles has been refined with added details.
First, there are no significant changes in appearance, but along with adding new exterior colors, optional items such as performance and options have increased, and the driving range has also increased compared to the existing model. 19-inch and 20-inch Pro Graphite wheels equipped with aero inserts have also been added, giving it a more refined look.
One of the things people hesitate about when purchasing an electric vehicle is the exterior design, which is plain compared to an internal combustion engine vehicle. However, the Polestar 2 model year change erases boredom by revealing details in various places. For the interior, new Napa leather was applied. Another feature is that the optional items have been changed to the same configuration as Polestar 3 and 4.
New packages have been added
The driving range has also improved compared to the previous model
In particular, in the case of the Pro Pack, a new seat belt design, 20-inch graphite alloy wheels, and Swedish gold-colored valve caps were added. Improvement in driving distance is also an important point to keep in mind. Based on the single-motor long-range model, a driving distance of up to 659 km (409 miles) can be secured. (Based on WLTP) The standard model equipped with CATL’s 70 kWh battery can secure a driving range of up to 554 km (344 miles) on a single charge.
There are five trims, and the existing Pilot Pack, Plus Pack, and Performance Pack were maintained, while the Climate Pack and Pro Pack were added. The Climate Pack includes a heat pump, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated washer fluid nodes. Choosing a trim you have never used can also be a new experience.
The price is likely to increase
Meanwhile, the updated Polestar 2 model will be available in Europe and Canada immediately after unveiling.
The Polestar 2’s starting price is $49,900 for the long-range single-motor version to $55,300 for the long-range dual-motor version, including the Pilot Pack. Prices vary based on additional upgrades. With improvements in product quality accompanying the changes in the new model year, there is anticipated to be a slight adjustment in pricing.
