Escalade, the pinnacle of luxury
Unveils its Facelift Model
Major Changes in Exterior and Interior
American luxury car brand Cadillac unveiled the facelift model of its large SUV Escalade and began preparations for sales. The Escalade, which returns as a facelift model, is scheduled to begin sales in the US in early 2025 as a 2025 model.
Major changes were made to the exterior and interior specifications during the facelift, improving marketability and product quality. This attention is being paid to the competitiveness of the Escalade, which is evaluated as having further strengthened the image of a luxury SUV.
Headlamps Positioned at the Bottom
Vertical DRL Design Applied
At the front of the vehicle, notable changes to the lighting fixtures, such as headlamps and Daytime Running Lights (DRL), are evident. Recently, Cadillac has incorporated its latest design language into the new Escalade, which is apparent in the revamped lamp design for this model. The headlamp assembly, previously positioned as a horizontal box at the top, has been relocated to the bottom and redesigned into a vertical format. This adjustment not only updates the Escalade’s aesthetic but also aligns it with modern design trends in automotive lighting.
The angled headlamp line that bends into the vehicle’s body has created an even stronger image. The inside of the headlamp is decorated with vertically dropping DRLs and small LED modules stacked on top of each other. At the top of the headlamp, there was a turn signal connected to the grille’s top line.
Massive Radiator Grille
Sleek Air Intake Shape
Here, Cadillac’s unique trapezoidal grille is applied. The bumper design features a horizontal air intake that mirrors the shape of the upper grille, creating a cohesive front aesthetic. On the side, the vehicle is characterized by wheel arches with smooth, circular lines and a prominent horizontal character line that runs high above the door handles. This design element adds a sleek and streamlined look to the vehicle’s profile, enhancing its overall visual appeal.
The window belt line features a detail that increases toward the top as it passes through the B-pillar. The thick C-pillar molding falls diagonally, narrowing the rear quarter glass area. The rear features a boxy shape, with vertical tail lamps placed from the top along the rear glass line.
55-Inch Display Applied
Production to Start at the End of the Year
The vehicle’s interior boasts a 55-inch OLED curved display across the dashboard, enhancing the visual and user interface experience. It also features a new steering wheel design, a column-type gear selector, and ambient lighting that can be customized in 128 colors, adding personalization and modernity.
For those opting for the Executive Second-Row Seating Package, the second-row center console is equipped with dual wireless smartphone chargers, a foldable tray table, and a dedicated display for climate control settings, enhancing comfort and convenience. Additionally, each second-row seat is enhanced with a 12.6-inch dual display mounted behind the first-row headrests, offering heating, ventilation, and massage functions to ensure maximum comfort for rear passengers.
In the case of powertrains, diesel powertrains were discontinued due to environmental regulations and low demand. The 6.2-liter V8 engine remains as before and generates a maximum output of 420 horsepower and a maximum torque of 63.2 kgf.m. Cadillac plans to begin production of the 2025 Escalade in late 2024, and the price of this new model is expected to be revealed closer to launch.
