These design elements echo those in Cadillac’s luxury EV, the Celestiq. This concept car embodies Cadillac’s vision for its high-performance “V” brand in the electric era.
The name “Opulent Velocity” reflects the vehicle’s dual emphasis on luxury and speed. With a design that suggests hypercar-level performance, the concept car showcases a powerful, masculine silhouette typical of American automotive design.

This concept car was designed based on Cadillac’s hypercar V-Class.R Hybrid Race Car that will return to the 2024 Le Mans 24 Hours of Motorsports. The vehicle’s sleek exterior and butterfly-door style doors open, and when you enter the interior, the steering wheel and center console, which resemble the cockpit of a high-performance race car, catch the eye.
The Opulent Velocity impressively features a two-door design while accommodating up to four passengers. Despite being a concept car, it exudes a futuristic vibe with cutting-edge technologies like an augmented reality head-up display and a full-width screen display. Although it remains a concept, it boasts advanced features such as Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities and adjustable suspension damping, showcasing Cadillac’s commitment to blending luxury with high-tech innovation.

Cadillac has recently shown off its bold moves by revealing various concept cars. Not long ago, it revealed the luxury convertible Sollei; this time, the Opulent Velocity gives us a glimpse into future technology.
Since it is a concept car, attention is also being paid to whether it will actually be mass-produced. In the case of Sollei, it seems there is a high possibility of mass production, but unfortunately, the Opulent Velocity is unlikely to be mass-produced.
