Chevrolet’s mysterious open convertible appears
Electric SUV Equinox design reflected

Ascarissdesign, a prominent overseas car rendering studio, has introduced a striking new rendering of the Chevrolet Roadster. This latest design significantly deviates from the Camaro Roadster, showcasing a distinct departure from Chevrolet’s previous muscle car aesthetics.
Unlike the Camaro Roadster’s muscular, high-performance image characterized by bold volume and linear designs, the new rendering focuses on a sleek and curvy profile. This innovative design merges elements from Chevrolet’s mid-size electric SUV, the Equinox EV, with the now-discontinued Jaguar F-Type sports car, blending their influences to create a fresh and dynamic vision for the Roadster.
Horizontal daytime running lights are applied
Headlamps connected to the grille
The rendering features a closed grille typical of EVs, with horizontal daytime running lights and turn signals positioned below the bonnet’s separation line. Notably, the traditional center positioning lamp has been omitted and replaced by the Chevrolet bowtie logo situated above it. The Roadster’s redesign has resulted in a narrower front profile, reflecting its transition from a muscle car to a sleek roadster.
The split headlamps are seamlessly integrated with the grille, creating a unified upper section. The grille itself has been slimmed down to complement the narrower front, retaining its signature diamond-shaped pattern. The grille’s sides are sharply angled, and the use of black high-gloss material enhances the sophisticated appearance. At the base of the bumper, a horizontal air duct completes the front design, contributing to the vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency.

The bonnet falls steeply and has a dynamic curve line and a sense of volume. It is lower than the Equinox EV, revealing a sleek body shape. In addition, the treatment of the line from the front fender to the daytime running light seems to reflect the design of the F-Type. The auto flush-type door handle and the unique sharp character line characterize the side.
The long horizontal character lines contrasting with the short overhangs at the front and rear emphasize the body’s proportions. In addition, red sports seats were applied to the interior. The rear rendering has not been released, but it seems to have been inspired by the Equinox EV, judging by the sleek shape that gathers at the top and extends toward the rear quarter panel.
‘Slim design is attractive’
However, the possibility of this rendering becoming a reality is low. As the demand for convertibles has decreased significantly in the US, their position is not the same as before, and automakers are continuing to develop new cars centered on SUVs and pickup trucks. Nevertheless, as the rendering reveals, many people praised the Chevrolet convertible.
