The legendary sports car from Hyundai Tiburon N
Surfaced in a new rendering
Let’s explore its interior and exterior design features
Well-crafted vehicles often remain the subject of discussion long after their release, and Hyundai’s sports cars are no exception. Models like the original Scoupe, the Tiburon, and the Genesis Coupe were significant despite being limited by the technology of their times.
The Tiburon, in particular, was built on the platform of the second-generation Avante (known as the Elantra in North America). It stood out for its sleek, sophisticated design, which captured the attention of younger buyers. Recently, a new rendering of the Tiburon surfaced, sparking interest in its potential features and future production possibilities. Let’s delve into this rendering to explore the design elements and assess whether this iconic model might make a comeback.
The Tiburon showcases the unique N color, exuding a dynamic feel
Camshaft, a design account specializing in automotive rendering, has unveiled the Tiburon N. This new iteration sports the colors of Hyundai’s high-performance N brand, giving it a distinctive sports car profile.
For the sharp front grille and headlamps, curved elements rather than straight lines were used to portray the soft and sporty feel of the past Tiburon. It also seems to have some similarities with the Avante N. As a two-door coupe, the doors are longer than those of a regular car, and the rear fenders have a voluminous look.
The rear design is sophisticated, but the interior rendering leaves something to be desire
Looking at the rear of the vehicle, the ducktail spoiler stands out. The tail lamps are connected as one piece, similar to the Sonata Edge, but they feel more dynamic. The lower rear bumper has been enlarged to confirm that it is a sports car. The dual mufflers also give off a sense of speed.
The interior of the vehicle has also been revealed. Elements that can be seen in existing Hyundai N models or N lines have been applied here and there. It is somewhat disappointing that an integrated display has not been applied and that the separate digital instrument panel and infotainment display are used.
While the likelihood of actual production is slim, many enthusiasts have high hopes
This rendering serves as a conceptual glimpse rather than a preview of an imminent release, making it unlikely that the actual vehicle will mirror this design in production. Hyundai has not announced any specific plans for reviving the Tiburon, so a successor remains a distant prospect.
Nevertheless, with the current trend of restomods and the revival of iconic models, there is hope that the Tiburon could make a comeback in the future. As brands continue to revisit and rejuvenate classic vehicles, the return of the Tiburon is a possibility that enthusiasts might eagerly anticipate.
