Cybertruck Flows to Russia
Did Elon Musk Gift It?
Unfortunate News Unfolds

The Cybertruck has emerged as one of Tesla’s most sought-after models. Currently, Tesla only offers vehicles for sale in the United States, with no plans for international exports in the near future. Despite this, reports indicate that affluent individuals in regions like China and the Middle East are attempting to import the Cybertruck through unofficial channels, capturing the attention of netizens.

Interestingly, the vehicle has also made its way into conflict zones. In the ongoing war following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Tesla Cybertruck has garnered attention as a military vehicle. Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, is said to have imported the Cybertruck through dubious means and modified it for combat use. Kadyrov even claimed to have received the vehicle directly from Elon Musk, a statement that sparked controversy. The current status of the modified Cybertruck has since become a topic of heated discussion.

Kadyrov’s grateful video: “Elon Musk is a genius”

Kadyrov previously uploaded a video of a Cybertruck driving in the Chechen capital, Grozny, on his Telegram channel on August 17. The vehicle he brought in was the Cyberbeast, the top-of-the-line Cybertruck, and it caught the eye with a machine gun mounted on top of the cargo bed. He drove the Cybertruck himself and also posed next to the machine gun while carrying ammunition on his body.

Kadyrov said, “We received a Tesla Cybertruck from the respected Elon Musk,” and thanked Musk for the “gift.” He praised Musk, referring to him as “the strongest genius of our time and a specialist, a great man,” and invited him to visit the Chechen Republic. He also hinted at the potential military use of the vehicle, suggesting it could be deployed to special military operation zones.

Musk firmly denies claims of remote vehicle malfunction

As his video went viral and rumors spread that Musk had provided Russia with vehicles for military use, Musk actively refuted them. Elon took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam, saying, “Are you seriously so ret***ed that you think I donated a Cybertruck to a Russian general?” and calling it “Yet another example of how much the legacy media lies.”

The developments following the initial praise were quite unexpected. Kadyrov recently voiced his frustrations on his Telegram channel, stating that the Cybertruck had suddenly stopped functioning on the battlefield and required towing. He criticized Musk for what he perceived as an act of cowardice, accusing him of remotely disabling the vehicle after giving such an expensive gift.

Undeterred, he acquired two more and conducted shooting drills

Kadyrov was not discouraged by the Cybertruck’s breakdown. Just a day later, a video was released showing two Cybertrucks, painted green and equipped with 12.7mm(0.5 inches) machine guns. The video shows them speeding down a rough road with soldiers on board and shooting at a small drone that was launched for training. It is also unknown how the vehicles were brought in.
