Porsche Sports Car, 944-Based Pickup Truck
Shocking Visuals Leave Fans Stunned
Up for Sale on German Auction Site

Kickdown

As the U.S. market’s demand for high-performance pickup trucks continues to grow, enthusiasts are always looking for unique models. While Porsche has never officially ventured into the pickup truck segment, a surprising new entry has recently appeared, leaving fans in awe. A Porsche pickup truck based on the 1987 Porsche 944 has been spotted, and it’s currently up for sale on a German auction site.

This custom creation is more than just a rebadged sports car. It’s a heavily modified vehicle featuring Porsche parts from models produced between 1995 and 2021. It transforms the 944 into a six-wheeled pickup truck with all the visual drama one would expect from such a unique build.

The creation took over 2,500 hours, with an added axle at the rear

This one-of-a-kind Porsche pickup truck took over 2,500 hours to construct. The chassis has been significantly extended to accommodate an additional rear axle, taken from an Audi 200 Turbo. The cargo bed is finished with oak and features an aluminum loading box for practicality. Some bed sections are adjustable, adding to its functionality as a working truck.

Externally, it borrows parts from other Porsche models. The 924 Carrera GT’s headlights and BBS wheels from the 933 Turbo give the truck a distinct Porsche appearance. A tow hook has been added to the rear to reinforce its utility as a pickup truck. While the original 3.0L engine has been replaced, details on the new powertrain haven’t been released.

Orange-colored exterior
The Interior has also been changed

The pickup truck’s bright orange exterior adds a bold, attention-grabbing flair. The combination of the elongated sports car bonnet with the practical truck bed creates a striking contrast. Up front, square headlights and angular body lines preserve the essence of the original 944, while the rear features new wheels and tires to complete the truck conversion.

Inside, the modifications continue. The steering wheel sports a custom Porsche pickup logo, and the seats are upholstered in bright orange fabric to match the exterior. The side sills are engraved with “944S Pickup,” other elements such as the dashboard, analog instrument panel, door trim, and center console retain their original design, giving the interior a retro, functional feel.
