Unveils new models at the Paris Motor Show
At the 2024 Paris Motor Show (October 14-20), Chinese luxury car brand Hongqi started pre-sales by unveiling the Hongqi EH7 sedan and EHS7 SUV, which are targeted for the European market. Both models are part of Hongqi’s new lineup and feature the FME platform.
The EH7 is a semi-large electric sedan. Its body size is 4,980 mm(196.0 inches) in length, 1,915 mm(75.4 inches) in width, 1,490 mm(58.7 inches) in height, and its wheelbase is 3,000 mm(118.1 inches). In terms of appearance, it features a fang-shaped head optic lamp, a similarly shaped rear lamp, a short-tailed trunk, and a glass roof.
The semi-large electric sedan EH7 features a large touchscreen
The EH7’s interior features a large touchscreen multimedia system arranged on a single panel with no physical buttons, giving it a minimalist feel. The steering wheel has a unique shape that resembles a game controller.
The Hongqi EH7 boasts a maximum output of 270 horsepower and a maximum torque of 756 Nm. It offers three battery pack options: 75 kWh, 85 kWh, and 111 kWh. The driving range is 600 kilometers (373 miles) to 820 kilometers (510 miles). It also has a maximum charging power of 365 kW, which can charge from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes.

Hongqi’s SUV EHS7
The EHS7 is an electric SUV. In terms of size, it is 4,925 mm(193.9 inches) in length, 1,950 mm(76.8 inches) in width, 1,680 mm(66.1 inches) in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,000 mm(118.1 inches). The vehicle, which has not yet been launched in China, is equipped with a 202kW electric motor for the front-wheel drive system and a 253kW electric motor for the rear-wheel drive system. The top speed is 200 km/h(124.3 mph), and CATL supplies the batteries.
Similar to the EH7, it features a 6-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.5-inch infotainment screen. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset powers the car’s infotainment system, which also features an augmented reality head-up display.
Launch date and delivery timeline
Only one version is to be offered
Pre-sales have begun in Europe for both models, but the exact release and shipping dates have not yet been confirmed. Also, while the EH7 is available in five versions in China, only one version of both the EH7 and EHS7 will be available in Europe.
The EH7’s price in China starts at 229,800 yuan (about $32,273). In the European market, the price for the EH7 is 49,999 euros (about $53,944). The price for the EHS7 SUV starts at 53,999 euros (about $58,260).
