Mercedes-Benz collaborates with Moncler
Limited edition G-Wagon unveiled
Looking at the Detailed design
Some things have a value that does not change even as times change. The same goes for cars. Some models of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, a brand with a long history, also have an iconic identity. These models are even more valuable because their design and meaning have become symbols without any changes.
Mercedes-Benz and luxury fashion brand Moncler were recently spotted collaborating at the City of Genius show in Shanghai, China. Here, we saw Mercedes-Benz’s iconic G-Class vehicle in a different light. Let’s take a closer look at what the G-Class looks like in collaboration with a fashion brand.
A Fusion of 1990s Culture and Modern Design
Based on the G-Class convertible that dominated the 1990s, this work was reborn by world-renowned creative designer NIGO. He added that he wanted to reinterpret the culture and energy of the 1990s in a modern way and put it into the vehicle.
Looking at the vehicle’s exterior, the two-tone matte gray and olive green colors are in harmony, and the 1990s Moncler jacket and large wheels wrapped in off-road tires stand out. The olive green paint extends from the hood to the side fenders and creates a sense of distinction along the A-pillar. The rest of the area is wrapped in black fenders and bumpers.

Keeping a Calm Atmosphere
The checkered pattern decoration and gold and orange accents are the focal points of the interior, creating a cool and retro feel. A large boombox sound system was added for the convertible roof connection, creating a unique audio system.
This is not the first time that Moncler and Benz have collaborated. Last year, they presented a more radical and bold vehicle, but this year, they have created a more restrained look characterized by a less unpredictable feel to the viewers.
Launched next year, limited to 20 units
Price is likely to be around $150,000
Mercedes-Benz has announced that the vehicle will be produced in limited quantities. Based on the new G 450d and G 500, the limited edition model will be produced and sold in only 20 units. It will feature a two-tone olive green and gray exterior, checkered seats, and tire covers with the collaboration’s logo with Moncler.
The launch date is expected to be April 2025, and the price will be around $150,000. Some opinions suggest that the price is not that extreme for a limited edition, as there are no performance, powertrain, or technical upgrades.
