Cadillac Unveils XT6 at Guangzhou Motor Show
Details Updated and Improved
Cadillac revealed the facelifted 2025 XT6 SUV at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China six years after the original model debuted. While the overall look remains familiar, the updated XT6 brings several design, technology, and comfort enhancements, reinforcing Cadillac’s commitment to luxury and innovation.
The 3-row XT6 is a semi-large luxury SUV set to launch in China later this year, with plans for a global release, including the US, in 2025. Its debut in South Korea has yet to be confirmed. Let’s take a closer look at the refreshed XT6.
Similar Appearance to Previous Model
Black Design Package Available
The 2025 model is almost identical in terms of design to the existing model. However, one slight difference is that it has a black design package. The radiator grille surround and 20-inch wheels, which were previously white, are now finished in black, enhancing the vehicle’s premium look.
Convenience features have been upgraded with rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, and a power liftgate. The addition of the Black Badge option further expands consumer choices. Cadillac has also introduced cutting-edge tech, including a 12.3-inch virtual instrument panel and a 10-inch center display. While not as expansive as the 33-inch displays in some newer models, the larger screen significantly improves driving usability.
Interior Changes Include Removal of 7-Passenger Option
One of the most significant interior changes is removing the 7-passenger seating configuration in favor of a 6-seat layout. The second-row seats in the top trim now have larger armrests, heating, and massage functions, providing added comfort. The front seats feature a 10-way power adjustment, while the second-row captain’s chairs have a 4-way power adjustment and airplane-style headrests. The SUV also includes standard 3-zone air conditioning and a 14-speaker BOSE audio system, ensuring high comfort and convenience for all passengers.
Safety has been a focal point in the update, with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert designed to enhance safety on the road.
Cutting-edge technology and Outstanding Performance
So what about performance? All XT6 models have a 2.0L gasoline turbo engine and a 48V mild hybrid system based on the Chinese standard. A 3.6L V6 engine option is expected to be provided in the US market. It is a four-wheel drive system, and a 9-speed automatic transmission is provided. The maximum output is 237 horsepower, and the maximum torque is 35.7kg.m. In addition, the AWD system is applied to improve driving safety, and the zero-to-100 km/h (62 mph) is 8.8 seconds, and the top speed is 210 km/h (130.5 mph).
The 2025 XT6 is priced from $50,590. The newly released XT6 has improved in all areas, including design, technology, and convenience, raising consumers’ expectations. Attention is being paid to Cadillac’s moves as it further expands its position in the luxury SUV market.
