Lexus Unveils 2025 TX Model
New F Sport Handling Trim Debuts
Packed with Features and Luxurious Styling
Lexus has officially launched the 2025 model of its flagship three-row SUV, the TX, in the U.S. market. First revealed in June 2023, the TX is designed to offer a perfect blend of luxury, dynamic performance, and spacious comfort, making it a strong contender in the competitive luxury SUV segment. The 2025 TX will continue to compete with established models like the Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, and Lincoln Aviator, bringing a refined, feature-packed alternative to U.S. consumers.
Built on the same TNGA GA-K platform as the Lexus NX, RX, and Toyota RAV4, the TX is a sibling to the Toyota Grand Highlander in North America. The 2025 model will continue to target buyers seeking a large, well-equipped SUV with ample cargo space and a premium interior.
Sporty and Elegant Exterior Design
In terms of body size, it is 5,159 mm (203.1 inches) in length, 1,989 mm (78.3 inches) in width, 1,780 mm (70.1 inches) in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,949 mm (116.1 inches). In terms of appearance, it shares a lot with the RX. For the front, it adopts Lexus’s signature unified spindle grille. The grille, designed with aerodynamic performance in mind, has dynamic proportions despite its large size.
Five thin horizontal patterns are applied to the inside of the grille, and they are arranged in a layout that is integrated with the air intakes placed on the bumper. A sharp T-shaped daytime running light and sporty headlamps are applied for the upper part. For the rear, horizontal tail lamps are placed. Here, a straight design is adopted to show the sturdiness of a large SUV.
Enhanced Ride and Handling with F Sport Handling
The 2025 TX introduces the F Sport Handling trim, available on the TX350 all-wheel-drive model. This version comes with 22-inch matte black wheels, an aero bumper, and black roof rails and door mirrors, enhancing the SUV’s sporty appearance. On the performance side, the F Sport Handling trim is equipped with Lexus’s adaptive variable suspension (AVS), providing a more stable ride and improved handling, even on uneven or challenging road surfaces. This feature ensures that the TX offers both comfort and responsive driving dynamics.
Inside, the TX offers a host of high-tech and comfort-oriented features. A 12.3-inch digital cluster and a 14-inch center fascia display provide the driver with an intuitive, modern interface, while the head-up display ensures critical driving information is always in view. The first-row seats are heated and ventilated, and the steering wheel is heated for added comfort. A dedicated air conditioning system is available for the second-row passengers, while the third row includes cup holders and seven USB charging ports for added convenience.
The TX also provides impressive cargo space, with 1,625 liters available when the third-row seats are folded down. This expands to 2,746 liters when the second and third rows are folded, ensuring ample room for luggage or gear.
Comprehensive Safety Features and Powertrain Options
It also has a wealth of safety and convenience features, including a panoramic sunroof, power-folding third-row seats, a collision avoidance system with pedestrian detection, radar-based cruise control, lane-keeping assist, Lexus Safety+3.0 with proactive driving assist, and a variety of parking assistance features.
There are various powertrain choices, including the TX 350 with a 2.4-liter gasoline turbo engine, the TX500h all-wheel-drive hybrid model that combines the same engine with an electric motor, and the TX550h+ plug-in hybrid model with a 3.5-liter V6 engine. The TX350 can be used with a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, while other trims are offered only with all-wheel drive. The 2025 TX starts at $56,490.
