Lexus unveiled the 2025 model of its flagship sedan, the LS, on November 6. This model is the latest launched to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Lexus brand. The LS is a vehicle with a long history and tradition. In particular, this vehicle is an extension of the 5th generation model that has undergone many changes and improvements and is receiving a hot response from car enthusiasts.
The fifth-generation LS currently on sale was first introduced in 2017 and underwent a minor change in 2020, with improved interior and exterior. This 2025 model will be launched without major changes, but its design still feels fresh and has received much acclaim. The exterior features a dark metallic spindle grille and angular air intake, leaving a strong impression. In addition, the three-layer projector LED headlamps boast a unique design with a vertical arrangement.
Luxury Meets Sport: The F SPORT Model
The new LS offers a variety of grade options, with the F SPORT model boasting a sportier appearance and performance. It has a sub-radiator grille garnish extending to the side, a black spindle grille, and unique 20-inch gloss black metallic wheels. These decorations emphasize sportiness and provide a sophisticated impression while maintaining a luxurious feel.
The body color is also available in a variety of colors, with a total of 10 colors to choose from, including Ultra White and Eminent White Pearl. For the interior, the Luggage and Executive package options add a touch of luxury, and the delicate panel decoration utilizing traditional Japanese techniques stands out. The appeal is that it combines Japanese tradition with modern design.
Cutting-Edge Technology in a Luxurious Setting
Lexus has added advanced features to the new LS to enhance its luxurious interior further. The interior combines traditional Japanese design elements with the latest technologies to maximize ride comfort. In particular, the Executive Package option features door trim ornament panels using the traditional Japanese glass technique of Kiriko, giving it an even more special feel.
In addition, the LS is equipped with many cutting-edge technologies. It provides convenient features such as a digital key, a 12.3-inch multi-information display, and a head-up display, helping drivers drive more safely and conveniently. The latest Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is installed as standard, ensuring safety in various situations while driving.
Powertrain Options for Varied Performance
For the 2025 LS, there are two powertrain options: the LS500 with a 3.4-liter V6 twin-turbo engine and the LS500h with a 3.5-liter V6 naturally aspirated engine and a hybrid system. The LS500 has rear-wheel drive (FR) and all-wheel drive (4WD) options, while the LS500h is only available with all-wheel drive. Both models have a 10-speed automatic transmission for smoother and more efficient driving performance.
In addition, various trims are available, allowing consumers to choose their preferred option. Prices start at $81,685; the top trim LS500h AWD model is $116,560. Scheduled to go on sale at the end of 2024, the new LS is expected to be very popular with consumers who prefer luxury sedans.
