Rezvani Shakes Up America
Unveils New Beast
The Arrival of a Game-Changing Sports Car
American new auto brand Rezvani has unveiled its innovative MR sports car, the BEAST, at the 2024 SEMA Show. This is the second-generation model, following the first-generation model unveiled in 2014, and is characterized by many changes while maintaining powerful performance and a unique design.
The new second-generation Beast adopted a mid-engine-rear-wheel drive (MR) layout based on the Chevrolet Corvette (C8). It was also equipped with a carbon fiber body and sporty designs, such as the dragon-wing doors.
The Powerful Performance Remains
Equipped with a 6.2L V8 Twin-Turbo Engine
The second-generation Beast’s powertrain is a 6.2L V8 twin-turbo engine. Its maximum output is a whopping 1,000 horsepower, and it boasts excellent acceleration performance when combined with an 8-speed DCT.
Although the vehicle weighs 1340 kg (2,954 pounds), it is slightly heavier than the previous model, but it still shows the same performance as the previous model, with a 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) acceleration time of 2.5 seconds. The 1/4 mile (about 402 m) acceleration time of 9.6 seconds also shows excellent performance at high speeds.
Unique Dragon Door and Innovative Interior Design
The Beast’s design is equally bold and innovative. It features the “Dragon Door,” which opens upward and enhances the car’s sports car aesthetic. The removable targa top gives the driver an open-air driving experience. Inside, the car retains some Corvette-inspired elements but with a sporty twist—a truncated joystick steering wheel offers a more dynamic and unique driving experience.
Military Options Also Available
The 007 Package Catches the Eye
Another unique feature of the Beast is its various military-style options. These include unique accessories such as door handles that apply electric shocks, a thermal vision system that visually displays heat energy, an EMP protection device, and a smoke screen system that disrupts tracked vehicles.
However, these military accessories are only available if you select the 007 Package. The package costs around 6.9 million yen (about $46,000). The base model of the second-generation Beast is expected to be priced at around 74 million yen (about $492,000).
