Islamic State Claims Responsibility for Deadly Bombings in Iran

“Mercenary from Tajikistan, Designed This Crime”

Yonhap NewsProtest demonstrations are taking place in Tehran, Iran’s capital, on the 5th (local time) against the terrorist attack on Soleimani’s tomb.

According to Yonhap News, semi-official Tasnim News reported on the 11th (local time) that the perpetrator of the bomb terror during the 4th-anniversary memorial service of Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, was Israeli origin.

The Iranian intelligence agency announced on the same day that a total of 35 accomplices involved in this explosion incident that occurred in Kerman, central Iran, on the 3rd have been arrested so far.

At the same time, it claimed that the identity of one of the two who committed the crime wearing a suicide bomb vest was confirmed as Bazirov Bozorov (24), an Israeli of Tajik nationality.

The intelligence agency said, “Bozorov was exposed to the worship of the Islamic State (IS) in the United States through Telegram, and was fascinated by it, left for Turkey, and went to Afghanistan via Iran with the help of smugglers on the western and eastern borders of Iran.”

It added, “He received doctrine learning and training at an IS base in the Badakhshan region in northeastern Afghanistan, and a few months later he entered Iran and joined other terrorists.”

On the day of the incident, they moved to the tomb where Soleimani was buried but decided to detonate the explosives at a point where surveillance was relatively less, judging that the security near the tomb was more strict than expected. The intelligence agency also added that a mercenary from Tajikistan, known as ‘Abdullah Tajiki’, designed this terrorist act.

Iran has been warning of strong retaliation, suspecting Israel as the behind-the-scenes force since the bomb terror.
