The Associated Press reported that former U.S. President Donald Trump won the Iowa Caucus held on the 15th (local time).

Starting from 7 p.m., the AP declared Trump’s victory based on the early counting results of the Iowa Caucus and the results of the AP VoteCast, a voter survey.

According to The New York Times (NYT), as of 8:30 p.m., when 4% of the votes had been counted, Trump was leading with a commanding 51.3% vote.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (21.7%) and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley (19.3%) compete for second place.
