After winning his first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, Robert Downey Jr. has been making headlines lately.

Robert Downey Jr. has been known to be lovebirds with his wife, Susan Downey, a film producer, for 18 years.

In a recent interview with a media outlet, Susan Downey revealed their secret: “Our family has never been apart for more than two weeks.”

Susan Downey said, “We stick to the basic rule of two weeks, and we don’t try to think too far ahead because much of what we do is strangely unpredictable.”

She added, “Someone might get sick, and various things can happen. So we have a few basics in place and are willing to go along with the rest.”

It seems that the couple, who have a relatively flexible schedule, try to spend as much time as possible with their son and daughter.

Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. has had a severe drug addiction in the past and has been arrested for gun possession, among other things.

Despite being sentenced to prison for failing to comply with drug testing, he continued to use drugs after his release and was arrested again.

During the 2003 production of the film Gothika, Robert Downey Jr. met his current wife, Susan Downey. To win her heart, he quit drugs and dedicated himself to acting.

Afterwards, he gained worldwide popularity with “Iron Man” and recently won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor through “Oppenheimer’.

Upon winning the award, Robert Downey Jr. expressed his gratitude to his wife, saying, “I want to thank my wife, Susan Downey. She rescued me, a growling pet, and loved me so I could return to life. That’s why I’m here. Thank you.”
