Accidentally stabs sister’s skull with scissors
Influenced by movie fight scenes
A 4-year-old Thai boy accidentally injured his sister with scissors, possibly imitating a fight scene from a movie.
Multiple sources, including Thai media and international outlets like Tiger News, reported a tragic accident in Isan, northeastern Thailand. On March 23rd, a 4-year-old boy named Nui allegedly injured his sister, Xiaoyan, by throwing scissors that struck her head.
Their 16-year-old cousin Yue Yi, who witnessed the incident, recalled, “I noticed Nui playing with scissors, so I tried to keep Xiaoyan away to avoid any injuries.”
Upon hearing this, Nui reportedly angrily threw the scissors at Xiaoyan.
Yue Yi suspects Nui may have been mimicking fight scenes from a movie. Reports indicate the scissors penetrated about an inch into Xiaoyan’s skull.
Thankfully, the injury appears isolated to Xiaoyan’s skull, and her life is not in danger. Doctors successfully removed the scissors after she was rushed to the hospital, and her condition has stabilized. Xiaoyan has since been discharged following observation. This incident highlights a growing concern: children imitating dangerous scenes from movies and TV shows, leading to injuries.
